Dr. Yvonne Cargill is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Ottawa Hospital. She is an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa. She received her medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan and completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. She also did fellowship training in maternal fetal medicine at the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Cargill has been a member of both the Obstetrics and the Ultrasound committees at the Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists of Canada (SOGC). She is active in the development of practice guidelines for the SOGC and is the physician lead for the Maternal Newborn Patient Safety Program, (CUSP) at the Ottawa Hospital. Her role has been diverse as a participant, instructor and developer of the program. She is also a member of the quality assurance committee in obstetrics.
Dr. Cargill cares for pregnant women at her office in the Harmony Medical Centre (152 Cleopatra) and also coordinates the care of high risk patients within the team of health care providers at the Maternal Fetal Care Unit Civic Campus of the Ottawa Hospital.
