Dr. Jessica Dy

Dr. Jessica Dy received her medical degree from the University of Western Ontario (1999). She then completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2004. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Public Health at the Harvard School of Public Health (2010).

Dr. Dy is Head of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology and Vice Chair of Quality and Patient Safety within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Newborn Care. She holds an academic appointment as Associate Professor at the University of Ottawa. She is actively involved in medical education and training at the University of Ottawa both at the undergraduate and post-graduate level. Her research interests are in labour management, induction of labour, Cesarean section and VBAC, patient safety and health services research in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Her clinical practice is based at the Civic Campus of The Ottawa Hospital (Low Risk Obstetrics Prenatal Clinic) and the Shirley E. Greenberg Women’s Health Centre at the Riverside Campus (Benign Gynecology Clinic).
