Dr. Adam Garber is an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ottawa. He received his medical degree in 2010 from Western University and his Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2015 from the University of Ottawa. He completed an academic fellowship in simulation based medical education in 2016 through the University of Ottawa Skills and Simulation Centre and a master’s degree in health professions education in 2017 through McMaster.
Dr. Garber is committed to providing comprehensive care to all patients. He helps women requiring surgical and non-surgical gynecologic care. In his obstetrical practice, he is happy to provide care to women throughout their pregnancy, delivery, and the postpartum period.
Dr. Garber’s academic focus is in the area medical education and simulation based medical education. He is involved in curriculum design, educational initiatives, and research at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level. His current research and teaching focuses on the use of communication skills to handle urgent situations, manage hierarchy, and foster collaboration among interdisciplinary teams.
